My husband was telling me a story that he heard on the radio. It was about a 70 year old man that is quite extraordinary. This 70 year old man regularly participates in the sport stand-up paddle boarding. Paddling boarding is a sport where the participant stands on a paddle board (it looks like a surf board) and uses a paddle that is 6-8 inches taller than them to propel them along the surface of the water. Not only is this a regular exercise routine for the 70 year old man, but he competes and holds records for the sport and he is beating other men about 20 years younger than him. That is impressive! That is not just pure luck or good genes; even though, I’m sure he does have fantastic genetics.
He had to work, study, and practice to be successful. His success most likely did not happen overnight. It takes time and perseverance to be successful. Can you see where I’m going with this yet …
You will not lose weight overnight.
You will not keep the weight off by eating French fries or pizza.
You will not lose weight if you CHEAT!
You have to PERSERVERE! I think many people cheat on this on this plan because they don’t truly care about being healthy; they are looking for a magic pill to swallow once a day and the weight will melt right off. THAT DOES NOT EXIST AND IT WILL NEVER EXIST!
Take this moment to reread the last paragraph….. Done? No? REREAD IT! Because that paragraph is at the heart of your “why” that made you start this new change.
Think about why you are losing weight? What is your motivation? If your motivation is for a “magical diet” then you will not get very far. The coaches at Ideal Health Now can educate you, train you, encourage you, but if you don’t truly believe what you are learning, then what is the point?
What is the point of spending your money, time and energy into this plan if you are going to cheat or go right back to old eating habits as soon as you graduate? Do you just merely want to lose weight OR do you want to lose weight AND become healthy? Do you want to be paddle boarding at 70 years old or do you want to be on tons of medications slowly moving around?
The picture is a picture of Johanna Quaas, who is an active gymnast at 86 years old. She attends weekly practices and still competes; pretty amazing! I’m not saying here at Ideal Health Now we expect you to become professional athletes or nutritionists, but we do expect you to give 110% into this program because we want you to be successful, not only in losing weight, but in becoming more fit and healthy overall and increasing your vitality for life.
